At UK MEWPS Ltd we aim to provide transparent and fair terms for all customers purchasing through our platform. As our business includes both the sale of physical safety equipment and the facilitation of offline MEWP sales through third-party asset partners, our policy reflects the different ways these products are supplied.
1. MEWPs (New or Used) – Important Notice
UK MEWPS Ltd does not deliver, fulfil or supply new or used MEWPs directly. All MEWP sales are completed offline between the customer and our approved supplying asset partners.
Because UK MEWPS Ltd is not the seller or merchant of record for MEWPs:
- We do not process returns, refunds or cancellations for MEWPs
- All MEWP-related terms, warranties, inspections and after-sales support are provided solely by the supplying partner
- Customers must refer to the specific partner’s sales contract for return and refund conditions
For the avoidance of doubt, no part of this Refund and Returns Policy applies to MEWPs sold by third-party suppliers.
2. Physical Products Sold by UK MEWPS Ltd
(spill control, safety harnesses, safety consumables, PPE, safety equipment)
These items are sold and fulfilled directly by UK MEWPS Ltd and are covered by the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, which provide a 14-day right to cancel for most physical goods.
2.1 Eligibility for Returns
You may return eligible physical products within 14 days of receiving your order if:
- The item is unused and in its original packaging
- You notify us in writing within the 14-day cancellation period
2.2 Items Excluded from Returns (UK Legislation)
The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:
- PPE that has been worn, used or opened
- Safety harnesses or fall-protection equipment once packaging seals are broken (for safety and hygiene reasons)
- Custom-made or customised items
- Items that become unsellable due to contamination with hazardous materials
This is in line with the UK hygiene, safety and contamination rules under consumer law.
2.3 Faulty or Incorrect Goods
If an item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect:
- Notify us within 7 days
- We will arrange a replacement or refund in accordance with UK consumer rights legislation
3. Digital Products and Services
3.1 Digital Products
Once accessed, downloaded or activated, digital products are non-refundable, except where legally required. If you experience technical issues, we will provide support to resolve them.
3.2 Services
Refunds for professional or consultancy services are assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us with details of your concern so we can review your request fairly.
4. Subscription Services
4.1 Cancellation
You may cancel subscriptions at any time. Cancellations made after a billing period has started will apply to the next billing cycle.
4.2 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
New subscriptions include a 14-day money-back guarantee. Refund requests made after this window are not eligible, but you can cancel your subscription to avoid future charges.
